Group Executive: Enterprise Security and Compliance Enforcement

Our client based in Kempton Park has an exciting vacancy at their Corporate Office for an experienced Group Executive: Enterprise Security and Compliance Enforcement within the Enterprise Security Division.

Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible, but not limited to, the following:

  • Translate organisational goals applicable to the area of responsibility as derived from the business plan and statutory regulations into a clear security masterplan, implement effectively and efficiently and ensure that appropriate remedial actions are taken.
  • Review and re-align protocols, practices, systems, structures and frameworks to THE COMPANY’s strategic intent and operating model and deliver corporate and CoE support to facilitate compliance and enforcement of relevant policies and procedures on the enterprise and operational level.
  • Direct the development and implementation of an Enterprise Security risk management strategy, framework and system to identify, assess and manage Enterprise Security risks, perform trend analysis and control efficiency reviews.
  • Develop Compliance strategy, framework, and communication plan to enforce and monitor compliance with legislation impacting license to operate, as well as internal rules, policies and procedures.
  • Position and drive the implementation of a compliance framework for THE COMPANY and Enterprise- and Airport security to direct the people, processes, systems and structures needed to enable safety and security and operations free from unlawful/criminal interference in support of its mandate.
  • Lead and direct internal and external audits impacting license to operate e.g. ICAO, SACAA, NKP, ensure compliance with CAA requirements, and drive remedial action plans.
  • Approve technical specifications for and procurement and management of security contractors and solutions for commercial property, confidential equipment, cargo, hold baggage screening, public safety, personnel, and VIP protection and security of off-site critical infrastructure.
  • Lead and direct investigation, enforcement, consequence management and loss control management, addressing wasteful expenditure in line with the PFMA and National Treasury Regulations.
  • Represent THE COMPANY at security-related forums, committees, national and international structures (NATJOINT, NASC, BMA, TSA or equivalent)

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:

  • A relevant Bachelor’s Degree (4 years – 480 credits (NQF Level 8) is essential
  • Master’s degree in law enforcement/security/Intelligence is advantageous
  • 5 years’ experience in Aviation/Airport Regulation (operational) is essential
  • 6 years’ experience in Security Management/ Law Enforcement/Military/Intelligence (Management) is essential
  • 3 years ‘experience in Corporate Legal Advisory (Management) is essential
  • Registration with PSIRA
  • Memberships with National Aviation Security Committee, NAT Joint (National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure
  • Legal Appointments with NASP of 2012 and NIA/SAPS
  • AVSEC Accreditations
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office
  • Code B; Motor vehicle licence
