Our client is looking for a Finance Business Analyst to blends financial analysis with business strategy, helping the organization make data-driven decisions.
Role and responsibilities
- Compilation and interpretation of interactive reports
- Sensitivity analysis
- Performance reporting and Analysis on various operating units
- Undertakes financial feasibility analysis and evaluations on operational projects and advises on the optimization of resources and profitability of projects.
- Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action.
- Provides interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory or customer financial regulations.
- Analyses financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
- Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records and financial statements.
- Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit-generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
- Researches and prepares benchmark analysis on peer companies and makes recommendations on best industry practices.
- Act as an advocate and role model for understanding cost drivers and cost control.
- Ensure key business performance risks, issues and opportunities are highlighted to management.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis to improve profitability, reduce costs, or optimize operations.
- Enhance financial processes, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
- Develop required compliance governance in the context of the discipline at a departmental level.
Minimum requirements- education, skills and experience
- BCom Accounting or relevant degree/qualification in Finance with CA /CIMA or CFA
- Minimum 7 years related experience.
- Expertise in financial software applications, databases, and reporting/visualization tools is essential.
- Sound knowledge of commercial/business drivers in finance, business performance variability and underlying causes that define appropriate actions
- Must have an analytical disposition, an eye for detail and must have demonstrable experience in interpreting findings and other information
- Experience in applying risk management techniques and critical controls
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex financial findings and recommendations clearly to non-financial stakeholders and senior leadership.
